Choose a Bromic control by the exact heater models, the function you need and the installation load. On/off, dimmer and Eclipse control products are different categories. The current Bromic compatibility chart is the starting reference; the exact controller manual completes the check.
Understand the control categories
- On/off: switches supported heaters on or off. Use the manufacturer's chart to confirm the heater family and permitted configuration.
- Dimmer: adjusts heat output for supported electric heaters. Bromic identifies compatible Platinum, Tungsten and Cobalt electric products in its current controls information.
- Eclipse: provides the applicable Eclipse heat and integrated-lighting control. Do not substitute another control category based only on a similar electrical rating.
Read capacity per channel
A controller's total rating and its per-channel limits both matter. Bromic's current Affinity chart lists Tungsten Electric 4000W or 6000W models at one heater per channel, and Platinum Electric 3400W or 4500W models at one per channel. These are manufacturer chart entries, not a blanket approval of every controller SKU or wiring arrangement. Verify the exact controller, voltage and manual for the proposed system.
Prepare the information needed to confirm fit
- List every heater's full SKU and supply voltage or fuel.
- Record how many heaters should operate together in each zone.
- Identify whether you need on/off, variable heat output or Eclipse heat and lighting control.
- Compare the controller's supported models, per-channel limit and total capacity.
- Have the installer confirm wiring, mounting location and any integration requirements.
Check what is already included
Some Freedom listings describe a particular package or included control. Read that exact product's contents before ordering a second control. A controller pictured near a heater is not evidence that it is included, and a remote or expansion component is not automatically supplied with every control model.
Shop with the model numbers ready
