This 240-volt heater coil enhances Goodman air handlers with efficient winter heating capabilities, producing up to 51,150 BTUs of heat. Designed for optimal performance, it is controlled by sequencers to maintain balanced temperatures. The unit is pre-assembled, rigorously tested, and features rust-resistant nickel-chromium heating elements, high-temperature limit controls for safety, and built-in overcurrent protection. Its plug-in wiring harness ensures easy installation into air handlers.
For installation, line voltage connects directly to the heater coil, eliminating the need for a separate circuit for the air handler. Depending on the coil size, one or two circuits may be required, as specified in the product specifications. Individual 220-volt double-pole circuit breakers are necessary at the home's circuit panel for each circuit.
